Enclave on Ross is an affordable multifamily community in Del Valle, Texas, just minutes from Austin, the Tesla Gigafactory, and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Designed to blend luxury with rustic charm, the development offers thoughtfully designed housing for low- to moderate-income individuals and families seeking high-quality living in a connected, community-focused environment.

HEDK collaborated closely with the developer to meet the stringent requirements of both the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), securing critical financing for this affordable housing initiative. 

The design draws from a clean modern farmhouse style, featuring stone accents, lap siding, and board and batten details that contribute to a contemporary yet welcoming aesthetic. Community-focused amenities include a triangular pool court to maximize unit views, a modern fitness center, business center, after-school classroom space, picnic areas, children’s playsets, and a dog park with an open pavilion. Apartments feature granite countertops, durable plank flooring, in-unit washers and dryers, and private outdoor spaces.

Late in the process, the discovery of a restrictive covenant near Del Valle High School required a larger setback. The team worked quickly to adjust the site plan without compromising the project’s schedule or quality. The success of Enclave on Ross reflects the strength of a team committed to resilient design, meaningful partnerships, and elevating what affordable housing can be.
