Lakeview Pointe is a mixed-income residential community located along the scenic waterfront of Lake Ray Hubbard in Garland, TX. Developed through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairsโ affordable housing tax credit program, Lakeview Pointe serves young professionals and families seeking quality housing at attainable rates. As the first project in Garland to achieve National Green Building Standard (NGBS) certification, it sets a new standard for sustainable, community-focused living.
The siteโs unique location, straddling both Dallas and Garland jurisdictions and adjacent to a federally regulated marina, required close coordination with local authorities and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Respect for shoreline buffer zones shaped the layout, which includes 3- and 4-story garden-style buildings offering 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units, many with lake views.
The architecture draws from a contemporary palette of stucco, brick, stone, and fiber cement siding in natural tones that reflect the surrounding landscape. Blue accent elements establish a visual connection to the lake and reinforce the project’s identity. Amenities include a contemporary-style pool, integrated clubhouse, resident laundry room, fitness and activity centers, a childrenโs play area, and more. All this makes Lakeview Pointe a unique blend of affordability, style, and lakeside living.
