Oxly is a HUD-financed contemporary multifamily development located in San Antonio, Texas, designed to appeal to young professionals seeking modern living with access to both urban amenities and nature. The project is part of University Village, a larger master-planned community that includes additional residential and retail components, including Lyric at the Merc, also designed by HEDK. Oxly benefits from direct adjacency to the Leon Creek Greenbelt, offering residents immediate access to trails and outdoor recreation.
A strong entry axis defines the site, framed by four-story buildings on either side and terminating at a standalone clubhouse. Pavers line the drive from entry to turning circle, reinforcing the arrival experience. The buildings are stepped to accommodate natural topography while maintaining an accessible route from the street and preserving the visual prominence of the entry.
The architectural palette features locally sourced thin-cut natural stone, stucco, and lap siding, with large windows and standing seam metal roofing highlighting tower elements. Amenities, many proposed or refined by HEDK, include an amenitized pool courtyard, a large outdoor patio at the clubhouse, and an open-air dog pavilion with a dedicated dog wash station at the on-site dog park. The clubhouse showcases 15- to 20-foot ceilings, creating a dramatic and inviting space. Solar panels integrated on the multifamily buildings and clubhouse supplement the project’s power needs, enhancing sustainability.
From arrival to everyday living, Oxly is crafted to offer residents a rich, connected experience at every turn.
