The Mallory Eastside is a contemporary multifamily community located in the Eastside district of Richardson, Texas. As the second phase of the Eastside development, following HEDK’s original 2007 project, the building continues a legacy of transit-oriented, walkable design with enhanced access to US 75, DART, hike-and-bike trails, and nearby retail.

Located next to Ed Carpenter’s Micro Macro Mojo sculpture, the development serves as a visual gateway into Richardson. The project, developed by Hunt Companies, meets strict Planned Development requirements for material composition, glazing ratios, building height, and recreational open space. The resulting facade combines contrasting brick, modern stucco with metal trim, warm wood-toned siding, and metal paneling at prominent corner elements. Defined parapets and vertical shifts in massing create rhythm and articulate scale across the facades. Sound mitigation practices were integrated to address the site’s proximity to both highway and rail lines.

The community offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, many with unique layouts shaped by the site’s angled geometry. Outdoor space is organized into three distinct courtyards: a pool courtyard, a quiet landscape courtyard, and a dog park with an outdoor dog spa. A rooftop sky lounge provides elevated views and a shared social space for residents.
